Ivan Blackbird hails from Huntsville, Ontario, a town in the Muskoka region of Canada. Her music is imbued with the spirit of the area, as well as an international flair and traveled wisdom collected from her numerous musical voyages outside the boundaries of Ontario.
An album of songs is currently being recorded with producer Karl Mohr which features also the fine musicianship of Daniel Neill, Greg Woods, Brenndan McGuire, Tyler Emond, Luke Vassella, Nisha Coleman, Amanda Penner and sound design by Jeremy Munce.
