WED, MAR 31 - DOUBLE EYELID, TRANZAC, TORONTO Friends of Multibeat Records may be interested to know about a strange debut concert occurring this upcoming Wednesday: Double Eyelid is the brainchild of Ian Revell... a mix of retro glam rock and post-punk writing, reminiscent of David Bowie and the Velvet Underground. Ian Revell, also known as Revolution in the Fallen Angels, sings lead vocals and plays piano/guitar. Karl Mohr will be playing electric guitar for this show. Benjamin Mueller-Heaslip, who leads the Parkdale Revolutionary Orchestra, and has been running this series of mid-week Wednesdays will be playing bass/keyboard. David MacDougall, who also plays with the P.R.O., will be beating on the drums. While Double Eyelid's first official concert was appearing as musician-actors in Studio BLR's production "Hamlette", this set was extremely short and employed computer-drums. Ian likes to think of this coming Wednesday show as his true adult debut as a rock music presenter - so please do the punk rock thing and bring rotten produce to throw at him. This show is part of Tranzac Wednesdays, in the glamorous back room, and features an incredible opening band, TBA at the time of this writing. (The only thing we know about them is that they don't perform any covers of classic Pere Ubu songs.) Type: Music/Arts - Concert Start Time: Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at 9:30pm Location: The Tranzac Club, Toronto Street: 292 Brunswick Avenue, just south of Bloor (416) 923-8137 How do you grid up on the social network? *** PLEASE RSVP to the Event page on Facebook *** www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=365508424218 --------------------------------------------------------- Multibeat Records sends out notices once per month or less.
