Long Description
Since 1987, Mohr has been experimenting with the darker sides of electronic music and releasing compilations of his ground-breaking work on cassette, CD, vinyl and via the internet. File his music under: darkwave, electronic, tech-house, goth, classical, indie rock, ambient, experimental - certainly an artist who has explored a vast range of territory.
As of 2010, with the arrival of Dead Red Velvet, Karl Mohr no longer records under his own name. His active projects also include Spannhaken, Blue Visions and Multibeat Therapy. He also plays electric guitar in, and generally helps with, Ian Revell's art-damaged, post-goth band Double Eyelid.
Mohr started his own one-page mail order cassette label, Positive Vibe Entrainment, in the early 90s, which carried through until 1998. Mohr was affiliated with the Calgary-based label Interdimensional Industries from 2001-2008 releasing CDs and vinyl projects, and mastering many projects for the label. Multibeat Records came into being in 2004 as a home for all Karl Mohr projects.
